Update .NET 8 & 9 Now: Critical MSBuild Spoofing Fix
14-May-25: DotNet: Microsoft announced that developers using .NET 8.0 (versions 8.0.1xx and 8.0.4xx) and .NET 9.0 (versions 9.0.1xx through 9.0.3xx) must update immediately due to a spoofing vulnerability (CVE-2025-26646) in MSBuild. This flaw could let attackers mimic trusted content, risking build processes in development and CI/CD pipelines. Visual Studio versions are also affected.
